The spitfire/airfix episode was superb, the scalextric I thought wasn't so good, they somehow managed to tell us 500 times how hard it was going to be without actually making it look at all hard.

I really enjoyed the lego house one. The engineering challenges to overcome are always good fun.

Looking forward to xmas day show when he builds a trainset from Braunton to Bideford!
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

yeh it's a good series, my freind and his brother helped with that and got to take track home afterwards - he's made about £100 selling it on ebay so far!
I thought the meccano bridge was the best
  • The train track episode was great, really enjoyed it!

I liked the Airfix episode as well the Meccano one ...

Though being a frmer Model builder in my younger days The japanese Model Company Hasegawa built a better detailed Jetfighter Model's compared to the Airfix .. yet Airfix always offerd b beginner kits with paints included though rarely did weapons kits ..

Still have a Airfix Avro Lancaster 1.72 City of Lincoln in it's box .... waiting to be built

There is a shop - Victor morris just along the road from my work selling Airfix kits , some priced at 30nicker .. a far cry from the prices I remember ..

And the thing with Scalextrics you can get the add on's only from specialist Model shops whilst the normal outlets never seem to sell the add on's and extra's ...
