Coldness - tis I tell thee

I had to go an pick up my car from my mate today after a rather large night out on Monday, I wasn't up to it yesterday so I went for ti today.
The wife wasn't around to give me a lift - prefered option as it's hardly got above freezing round here this week!
Contemplated the MTB route, but as I'm out on a crimbo-eve wobble tomorrow I thought what the hell I'll take the road bike, so on went a thermal base layer, winter jersey, a windproof jacket, shorts and a pair or Altura winter cruisers.
On the feet went a pair of wool hiking socks and my Specialized shoes, a pair of Specialized deflect gloves a buff and my lid and off I toddled being careful due to potentially slipy roads only to find they were find they were fine
The only thing that felt the cold were my toes - my how I hope the wife has got the hint about over shoes
Good little ride though, only 6 miles but just a ncie little afternoon trip

Hope my sleeveless, mesh back with side ventilation top makes it soon before the weather eally does turn worse. want it to match my winter fingerless, mesh mitts.0
