title says it all really.the 3 main bikes i have been looking at are
Lapirre Zesty 314 £2150

Trek Fuel ex 8 £2000

and specialized stumpjumper elite £2200

any help would be nice
if you want to know where i ride,mainly at afan and cwmcarn on the red routes

    usually "obscure" shock names mean they have been made specifically or tuned for the specific bike. and may have more/less features than the standard models.

    The drcv is similar to a float rp2 but has an extra air chamber added. The extra chamber opens when the shock compresses a certain distance, leading to a feel that is more like a coil shock than regular air.

    It's currently only seen on bikes from the Trek family.

    Almost. It tries to be like both a small volume air shock and a large volume air shock in one. Works pretty well IMO, but I do own a Fuel Ex 8 (last years without the drcv).

    It's similar to a float with a full lockout (so it can be full lockout, propedal, and fully open).
