Do Shimano make an 8 speed shifter that is for doubles only

No outer, mid, inner configuration at all , just double and that is it, if not, do SRAM make a shimano compatible 8 speed double shifter ?

    I'm pretty sure that Sora 8sp 3300 shifters came in different triple and double versions.

    Because Sora 3400 is now 9sp, should be able to pick some of these up relatively cheaply

    I've got some old 8 speed double 105s, you may be able to pick some up as old stock?
