I'm expecting a hassle fitting these, but I haven't even started yet! I bought a kit from CRC for 16-17mm rims (presta). My rims are Mavic XC717disc and measure 17mm inside, but the rimstrips seem wide to me- They won't fit completely under the bead rail, and sticking out is going to look pretty silly. Do I need the 15-16mm kit? These strips are 30mm flat across.
Ta!

No, sticking over the bead is good! As you should know if you've read the instructions.
You won't see them once a tyre is on and inflated.

Use lots of soapy water to help them seal first time. I use CO2 to inflate mine first time, then deflate (leaving them on the bead) squirt the sealant through the valve (i run shrader valves) before reinflating with a track pump.

    Good luck.

    Ditto!

Ideally the rim strip should fit below the bead-lock, but it doesn't matter if it sits proud, just make sure it's even all the way around, and ease into position with tyre levels and plenty of soapy water to equalise the tension around the circumference.

Soapy water's the key, along with pre-conditioning your tyres (with tubes) in a warm environment.
