2010 Meta 5 - Maxled!

Picked up the replacement for my cracked 09 Meta 5 on Thursday.

Frame: Commencal Meta 5 Team 2010
Forks: Rockshox Revelation Maxle lite u-turn 2009







Need a new seatpost because the old one is too small, 27.2 shimmed to 31.6.

The frame and welds seem to be far better than last years model, time will tell.

Just out of interest... what size is the frame? the bar height looks pretty darn low!

The new ones are manufactured in a different factory so the QC should be much better. Geometry is the same as last years. They have used more hydroforming in a subtle way and the dropouts have changed.

There is definitely an overall feeling of quality in comparison to last years model.

Ha, probably! Although i`ve had an ace time on it over the last few weeks, i`ve been putting minutes in over my riding buddies on non technical climbs. You don`t forget the skills you learn on a hardtail.

You do feel it more post ride though, and sections I could fly on the meta you have to really think about on a 100mm hardtail, that being said, I think I will use it more now than when I first got my original Meta.
