Anyone know much about these? I'm interested in a second hand one.
How good are they in the way of things?
Currently got a Giant SCR 1.0. Alternative new bike might be a £1k carbon boardman or Focus Cayo.
Any idea what RRP on these was?
Ta.

I had one a while ago. Very good it was, but a bit harsh on rough roads. I liked the fact it had proper racy dimensions e.g. a 130mm headtube (on a 55cm frame). I would expect the 2 carbon alternatives to give a more comfortable ride - I went to a Scott CR1 and it's much more compliant than the CAAD5. The quality of the paintjob was exceptional, really hardwearing.
Good and stiff and racy, but not very comfortable, in a nutshell.
I sold mine as a frame only for £75. Wish I'd kept it with hindsight0 -
Thanks for the reply. Sounds interesting.
So is the CAAD 5 an older, but equivelent spec to the CAAD 9?0 -
I have a cad2, bloody brilliant frame, bottom bracket is still as good as new and frame feels great still. Don't think you can go far wrong with a alu Cannondale......................
Saying that, i don't think you can go far wrong with most road bikes, they seem to be better put together than some MTB's (ie less mass produced super cheap useless cr@p)
