As 2009 draws to a close, lets see what you've bought that you've been really pleased with.

For me, it has to be the Rockshox Rebas. Awesome forks.

Giant Reign X, very impressed that it can do everything very well.

Avid Elixirs, amazing brakes. Smaller rotors than my 7's, but way more power and modulation.

Kona Wah Wah's, best flat pedal ever. Really grippy, seen of plenty of rock/stump strikes.

Dunno, tough call. So many bits picked up for such good prices. So many bits still to come. Practical terms, probably altura attacks 3/4s and a light, comfy as fook, WTB saddle for 20 quid atm.

Indeed. I'd considered posting those, but they were just pipped by the Rebas.

  • My best purchase this year has been my bike, after 5 years out of the saddle  , I elected to get myself a new rig (just a cheapy, incase I slipped back into indolence). £371 for a 2007 Giant xtc 4.5 from Paul's Cycles and I haven't looked back, done 1,000 miles of mainly road riding to build up my fitness and endurance. But regularly getting down the woods now. Jesus how much more comfy are modern Alu frames? I was one of the Luddites sticking with Steel when it went out of favour, now people are raving about Steel bikes, but there's far less difference than there used to be.

2010 will be a great year for treating my bike to some new bits, to thank it for reigniting my joy of riding.

Loads of nice stuff this year. Got to be either the Soul frame, the Gravity Dropper or the Traversee wheels though. It's been a good, expensive year for me ;) I think probablly the Soul, out of the 3...
