It is impossible to win an argument with Will, haven't you realised that by now? Whatever you say, he knows better.
Quit talking ****, you're the biggest **** stirer on here.NapoleonD wrote:
I can't afford to put 40 quid on something that I might not like, I was planning on sticking with what I know (Krylions), as they where excellent the last ones I had, but it appears they've took a right nose dive.0 -

Erm, he is right...
Another example of asking for advice then dithering about it or disagreeing with it.0 -
Thread of the year imo0

Nope.
How is it disagreeing wanting to hear opinions about the tyre before you buy? I'm not just going to take someones word with it and then go and buy it.
I'm cautious of those Open Paves as I have the OPEN CORSA's which have a rather thin thread, no one said anything else on those. Also, they're far too expensive, people have not looked at the OP.
If you think I'm going to take one word answers then I'm not.
You're all just a load of piss takers, I've not ignored any advice in this thread and have not made that many comments. No one can expect me to look at someones recommendation for Open Paves and go and buy them.0 -

WTF?
Then why ask people's opinion on an internet forum, because all you're going to get is someones word.

I'm going to have to make a new thread.
I'm not rich, clearly people who say they are not on here must be, or up to their eyes in debt.
Someone recommends Open Paves, you expect me to buy them? After having Open Corsa's? And allot more expensive than Krylions, what did I say in the OP? I can't afford to buy stuff and waste money cause it's no good.redddraggon wrote:
My comments untill you and NapD came in here where totally fine, I never ignored any advice, just 2 people then another one had to come in, troll and **** stir.
Thanks allot.....0 -

Then buy the freakin' Krylions!
The Open Paves are a much tougher tyre than the Open Corsas. Why do you think they are the Pros' favoured tyre at races like Paris Roubaix? I don't expect you to do anything. Well, that's wrong, you are doing exactly what I expected you to do!0 -

You don't need a new thread, just go and buy rubino pros. ffs.0

Well then why did someone not ****** say in the first place, they looked like Open Corsa's to me...
But at £31, clearly too much, as I DID say not much more expensive than Krylions in my OP.Infamous wrote:You don't need a new thread, just go and buy rubino pros. ffs.
Why would I go and buy a pair of tyres off of a post like that? What does that say? Go waste £40....
This thread was prolonged by trolls, I made my decision last night on going with Rubino Pro 3's.0 -

You know it makes sense.
On your bike they will look perfect too. Proper Pro Paris Roubaix like.
I'm sure I posted this earlier in the thread...
I am finding my Open Paves an absolutely brilliant winter tyre.
But, just buy some Krylions or Rubino Pros. They fit your budget.0 -
Will, I think you are being a bit over-the-top here. NapD was just suggesting a silly tyre for training and I think he did it in jest – you know what he is like
I am also a user of Kyrilions (made in france) but after seeing the problems you have suffered I am going to be switching to the Vittoria Rubino Pro (III) as they seem like a good tyre for the money. If you look at reviews online it seems like a good solid tyre and it is on offer today at CRC - £19.79 each.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

The manufacturing of Krylions has apparently being moved from france I heard? And that I guess is why they're not doing so good.0 -
redddraggon wrote:The new Conti Gatorskins? Vittoria Rubino Pro?
Running your tyres pressures as high as you do increases the chances of you getting these cuts by the way.
Schwable Marathon Plus are bombproof though
The first reply to Will was sensible, but I guess he just doesn't listen.0 -
Will I use Schwalbe Stelvio's 23mm. Up to now ( * touch wood) I've had no trouble with these and I use them for both commuting and grinding out the miles. I've had no trouble in all weathers ( not tried them on snow yet though ). I run both wheels at roughly 100psi.
Hope this helpsBianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!
I RIDE A KONA CADABRA -would you like to come and have a play with my magic link?0 -
Thanks, but I think I'm going to go with the Rubino Pro 3's, allthough I can't find them on CRC.
In the meantime, if I put my Open Corsa's on my bike at this time, riding them in all conditions, on Manchester roads, would you say they'll be extreamly prone to punctures?0 -

You can check that by yourself – my Kyrilions say “Made in France” on the sidewall.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
