I placed an order with Wiggle on Sunday & 2 orders on Monday. Due to their normally lightening quick processing/delivery I was concerned as my orders havent been processed yet.

Quick email to them to which they replied within 5 minutes.

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately there is a slight delay for all orders due to this being our busiest time of the year, your order will be processed as soon as possible.

full apologies

Regards

Toby

So if your in a hurry for something I wouldnt rely on the normally fast free delivery

They gotta be snowed under with all the offers they've had on recently

.I Used the £15 off over £75 orders thrice & £5 off over £25 orders once, on top of my 12% Platinum discount, so I aint complaining.

Will be even sweeter if I get the 5% Quidco cashback too

To be fair, CRC will probably be in the same boat. They've had loads of offers on lately too and it is the build up to Xmas remember.

How do you get the £15 off over £75 offer? Can't see it on the site?

Totally unprofessional reply why did they not make you aware upon placing order that all deliverys will be late because they have failed to make additional provisions for the xmas rush. I suppose that would give you the choice of going somewhere else.
    So Far!
  • I had an email from them saying my order was depsatched on monday 30th November, took till yesterday for my stuff to arrive.

The 1st class post usually only takes 2 or 3 days when I used Wiggle before, so be aware that Royal Mail may also add to the delay, on top of Wiggle's problems coping with demand.

It is nearly Christmas though. santa-smiley-05.gif

Watching this clueless buffoon make an ar$e of myself out on the trails. PRICELESS! :D

That's a bit harsh, they do say "Free delivery orders may take an additional 2-5 working days to arrive" - the OP is still well within that window. Priority despatch would get priority if peopel want to spend the £3.50. We have been spoilt with pretty much 100% next day free delivery for the rest of the year.

Exactly - and the OP wasn't moaning or having a go, just letting everyone know. If you absolutely need it next day, you've got to pay.

We're just spoilt the other 345 days of the year...! :D

I disagree that email or information could easily of been provided at time of purchase which is a very simple thing to do, especially for an award winning website.

er...they say on their site, 2-5 days longer for free delivery, presumably on top of 1 day for priority delivery, and that is absolutely clear on their website - so you would have them send an email saying something anyone can see on their web site, or have them apologising for something they haven't yet failed to do (deliver within quoted time)? Oh, I get it, you're joking  Nice one :D

    I will say this slowly:

Wiggle state that free deliveries will take between 3 and 6 days.

Almost always they actually take 1 day (Wiggle exceed their stated level of service)

The OP hadn't received the order for 2 days

Wiggle have still not gone over their stated level of service.

In an act of unnecessary honesty, they say there has been a slight delay in their own despatch / delivery standards, however they haven't done anything wrong. They could have just said "read our delivery terms, you will see that free deliveries normally take 3-6 days".

Many, lesser, retailers would have done just that.

    And you are whining?

Hmmm, I am struggling to avoid rudeness. . . I'll stop now while I'm ahead

No, they are just as quick as ever. Ordered overnight shipped before 11 am.
    Smarter than the average bear.
  • Hmm, my order was packed & ready for despatch on Sunday afternoon, but I still haven't received it. May be a Royal Mail delay, as opposed to Wiggle though (assuming it's left their warehouse that is). :?

you lot are spoilt these days !
rewind 20 years to mail order service in the 80's
it was a miracle to get anything within 2 weeks.
  • i took advantage of their reduction offers this Sunday and ordered two Podium tubs (two seperate orders so i got £5 off each!). They were listed as out of stock, but i wasn't too worried as these are for next seasons. Both arrived first thing Wednesday morning, so that's 2 working days to get in the stock, pick the order, despatch and then have them delivered by the postie. That's pretty darned good in my book and pretty darned professional too! The free postage option is pretty clear, as is their details of out of stock items, so it's rather unfair to say that Wiggle are unprofessional and i'll continue to use them.
I'm still waiting on a pair of shoes i ordered that were out of stock, but for the extra £15 i saved, i'll happily wait.
Some of their items are cheaper than CRC, so it pays to shop around.

Ref comparison between car door and cocked gun. It might be the case with one gun, but when it happens with 6 at once it's a slightly different matter!! Trust me on this.

Ref the problems with wiggle, i have ordered a few bits and bobs from Rutland Cycles over the past couple of weeks and had no problems. They even sent one item special super quick delivery as they didn't have it in stock initially. It arrived before the normal postage was due to and at no extra cost.
  • Thank you all for your comments.

Wiggle have been exceptionally busy during this period and so apologise to anybody who has ill feeling towards the timing of their orders.

During the busy periods we have pulled in extra resources to cope with demand and are making every effort to fulfil our customers’ requirements.

Those who have chosen to receive “priority despatch” will naturally be attended to first. After all, those customers did pay for the service. That means their orders will be processed in a priority order. When these orders have been processed, the remaining orders are then processed.

During most of the year, even non-priority orders make it out the same day for delivery the following day, but at times busy periods can mean a delay in comparison to our normal delivery performance. Even at this time of year, delays are minimal and you will receive your parcel within the quoted delivery period.

Indeed, bear in mind the possible Royal Mail delays in shipping times, but we still have customers receiving their parcels as far away as Australia within 4 days. The Wiggle team are working very hard to uphold our true and realistic delivery policy.
Remember you will still receive your items before Christmas if purchased within the next five days.

    Merry Christmas everybody.
