Hi guys

I was chatting to a friend in work yesterday about mountain biking and he said that all his mates got into it so he went out and bought a bike but never really used it.

I delved abit more and he said it was a Specialized full susser. He doesn't really know anything about the bike at all and he sent me a link showing what he thinks the frame is.

Obviously its an enduro but any idea of the year?

cheers

Ah, if it's the exact same as that it's a 2001 Enduro Sport! I had one myself for yeears, sold it in about 2007 I think, to a chap in Newcastle on ebay for about £250 :) Good bike, very solid, do you know if it's got all it's original kit? Oddly the old air sprung Bomber forks that came on it were lovely, mine were smooth even to the day I sold it.

Oddly I bought a 2007 FSR XC after selling it, which felt very, very similar. Both slightly bobby up the hills but nice and active. I used a Fox Float air shock on the back of the Enduro, unfortunately it uses a 6.5" shock which is a bit on the short side. Due to the leverage ratio I had to have quite a crazy high pressure in the shock, which meant the damping was fairly useless.

Very good bike for it's time though, mine only weighed about 30lbs, comes as stock with Mavic rims, decent forks, very long lasting bearings etc. Still using the stock V brakes? It was all disc ready but comes with generic V's as stock. I did only spend £799 I think on mine, back at the end of 2001.
