hi there, which brand of hand pump is the best one to buy for value, I mean the large type you leave at home??? I have a small hand pump fitted on the bike, which is supposed to inflate the tyres well over 100psi, but since using my new bike to train on and after many punctures, I cannot believe how bad the roads are!!!!
note I have even changed my commute route to try and get away from the bad roads!!!
I am struggling to keep the tyre pressures up on the bike !! also what pressure do you guys use on your bikes! just like to say this site is great to get advice and information on all aspects of cycling for a newcomer like me. cheers

Yeah, fair one he is after a track pump, but the way I also read it is that the pump on his bike at the moment is crap and when he punctures it isnt very good. Just thought I'd give my 10p's worth on the small pump as the Joe Blow reccomend was a good call.0 -

cheers guys, the pump on my bike is a rsp, supposed to do well over 100psi, but is still a pain when doing tyre pressures !! takes for ever!!, did buy a cheap track style pump!!!! wont say any more on that!!! don,t want to be making that mistake again!! went to halford and looked at the joe blow sprint pump and have decided on this pump cheers everyone, may have to wait for santa!!! spent up now!! brought my new bike through the bike scheme and went up to the max on the bike. so after buying good recharge rsp front lights, good rear light, pump, clothing, 105 spd pedals, race blades, shimano shoes, cool helmet, rucksack, etc, etc, etc, seems i may have to commute to work for the next 10 years to get money back.
after christmas I will be asking if I can join Manchester Wheelers on a sunday club run and hopefully join, so just sorting out last bit of gear i stilll need.
