Kids bikes have rear mech' guards (small little bent metal bar) but they are usually 'el-cheapo' rear mechs'. I have an adults bike with expensive rear mech' but cant seem to find any mech' guards to fit. Have tried kids guard but is too small. What can I do?

Mech guards used to come in two sizes, long and short.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Most decent bikes don't even have the mounts for guards....
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

as an adult you are expected to not drop you bike on the mech.

Plus... its sticks out from the frame so its more likely to hit rocks etc. and the only way it will be pushed is into your mech.
