How to undo my Ultegra shifters

Hi,

My first ever handlebar change on a road bike is taking place.
I am ok with the taping but I can't see where I can undo the clamp of the STI unit.
I appreciate this may have been asked enough times but a search on here didn't help. :?

Cheers all.

The search function on here is worse than useless.

If you peel back the rubber STI hoods, you should reveal an allen bolt which tightens or loosens the levers against the handlebars. Undo that and they should come loose and, with a bit of judicious wiggling, you'll be able to remove them from the bars.

    Thanks Andy.
Just did a search on the web and found a pic on Road Bike review forum.

Now I can crack on getting the Easton EC90SLX Ergo bars on. :D

    Regards

    Steve

On the outside of the plastic body of the shifter is a small groove in the plastic, pointing under the hood, your 5mm allen key goes in there.

    Thanks for the pic.

I'll be getting new bar tape again soon when I upgrade to SRAM RED shifters....
