Duo Crankset set up

I'm new to building up bikes, just built up my first (a stumpy FSR) and I'm now in the process of doing a HT. I like the idea of the Middleburn duo crankset. As a newbie, I would like to know how the front shifter and mech work with 2 front chainrings. Obviously they're designed for 3 rings, so how does this work?

Thanks in advance,
Joe

just set the mech stops as needed. you then have a unusable shifter position.

As Nick says adjust limit screws though you might have to move the mech down a touch to get really smooth shifts up. I did this when I fitted an SLX twin and bash crankset to my commi and it shifts just fine and its just a Deore mechanism nothing flash
