Suitable tyre?

I'm looking around to see what better tyre options I have for my I-Drive (not liking oem Maxxis Ignitors) and have seen some really good reviews on the Michelin All Mountains. I have found some very cheap on CRC and am wondering if there is a catch somewhere for this price?

Would 2" be too narrow for my Alex DP20 rims, I hear these are quite a bit bigger in volume than other brands in this size?
They also have 2.2s

and 2.35s which are more DH I believe.

If it isn't bad enough choosing a brand, you then have about 50 variations of each and the ones you buy you find out are the cr@p version
Any opinions on this would be cool. Riding conditions at the moment are a combination of road, muddy bridleways with some very rocky descents thrown in. I realise I need to compromise on something but I don't want it to be the rocky descents as that hurts the most if I fall off.

OK, a few things to think about. 1. What are you most interested in? speed, or grip, or comfort? or all three?! for what you say you ride, the bigger the tyre you have the better, infact, i go by this saying for just about everything. so realy any smaller than 2.2 is prob a bad idea, your ignitors are 2.35, and they are def not DH tyres, i would go for 2.35 personaly, or even if you arnt too fussed by weight, go for 2.5. Big is butifull. also think about compound, if you want grip on the rocks most of all, the stickier the better, so 60a or even super taki 42a (although this wil wear out quickly) also think about tread pattern, if your not going in mega mud, just greassy mud bridleways, something like a Maxxis Highroller is good, i wouldnt gennarally recomend Michelins, they dont tend to be very good, although im not sure about the AM, there is one they say is quite good, but i cant recall the name. to be on the safe side i would stick with Maxxis, shwable,conti,Kenda....
so, to summerize you want a wide sticky all rounder
that will be a Maxxis HighRoller 2.35 or 2.5 singleply, 60a. (wich happens to be what im using at the moment actually........)I like bikes and stuff0 -
Thanks for your views joshtp/mbukman, much appreciated. I had Nevegals on my last bike and liked them, much better than my Ignitors in my riding conditions. I started looking at the Michelins after a recommendation and have yet to find a poor review about them after googling around. So at the CRC prices I am sorely tempted. If I can also reduce a bit of weight from the wheels into the bargain, even better. I was also thinking about Fire XCs but they seem to be a bit of a love/hate choice and I keep getting swayed one way or another from both sides! More expensive as well.
High Rollers seem to be a popular all round choice so maybe I should follow your example and get some of them.
Thanks again for the advice .Vaaru Titanium Sram Red eTap

no worries bud, the ifnitors are pretty light, i had them on my GT too, but i actually really liked them.... anyway, dont be tempted ito getting a narrow, fragile, low grip tyre by either light weight, or by price, the extra fiver can mean the difference between waiting for the tyres to wear down, so you can get something diferent, or being gutted that they need replacing. saying that, i never understand people who pay £30+ for a tyre....
the nevegals are also good, maybe a 2.35, 60a... be warned, maxxis highroller come up pretty small, my 2.5 is only a little biger than my old 2.1 tiogas, and certainly not much bigger than other maxxis tyres, its only a bit bigger than my ignitor 2.35I like bikes and stuff0
