Putting ultegra on a bike with tiagra?

Last time I built a bike was a raleigh rudge and I put cow horns on so...

1)Have my caad9 cannondale with tiagra - can I put ultegra 6600 components on instead?

2)And would this be a good idea? I'd be swapping them from one bike to another. I say but I would pay someone to do it!

yes they will swap ok.good idea for trickling it down to another bike but the difference would be marginal just to shell out for an upgrade i think.

CAAD9 is a quality frame.

Plenty of people put DA/Red/Record/etc along with uber expensive wheels on their CAAD9s. Definitely wouldn't hurt upgrading the groupset.

Thanks guys - that's helpful. If all goes well I'll get a souped up CAAD 9 and a nice winter bike out of the exchange.

By the way Redragon bought some michelin krylions on your recommendation and am pleased with them
