Can I use a 10sp chain on a 9 sp groupset ?
Winter bike has 9sp on it . Summer bike 10sp .
What I thought of doing is when my winter chain needs changing to put on the slightly worn chain from my summer bike and replace the summer bike chain . That way I have a new or pretty much new chain on the summer bike all the time using the slightly worn 10sp chains on the winter bike . Would this work ?

Using a 10 speed chain on my 9 speed drivetrain, the rear shifted very well, however changing between rings at the front, the chain would sometimes 'skate' on the rings.0
