Hi there,

I am looking for a bike to comute to work on, so it has to be reliable, and not overly pretty as I don't want it to get stolen.

Most of my cycling experience has been on mountain bikes so I suppose I'd like to go for on of those (+ there are cobbled sections + a couple of short curts across commons on the way)

I have £350 to spend. No problem getting something used.

If it makes a difference I am 6'3" and 16 stone. What size of frame should I be going for? What other features shouls I look for??

If there is anythinh else you would like to know just ask.

Baz

Don't get a mountain bike for commuting (unless your commute involves some actual mountain biking of course!)
  • Well there are some quasi off road parts (cobbles, parks and commons) + given that I am on the large side I want something quite robust.

But certainly nothing that would even remotely constitute a mountain. What should I be looking for?

    thanks
