27 inch inner tube?

does anyone know where I can get some, my dad has an old bike it has s7x 1 1/4 tyres on what size tubes can I fit, I dont ride a road bike so I'm not sure on this at all

    Normal 700c inner tubes will be fine. The difference is quite small (622mm v 630mm). In fact I think some of them are marked 27".

    If you've ever tried pumping up an inne rtube when not installed in a tyre you'll realise just how big they go before they go bang :)

  • for example, a 20" bmx tube will go over a 26" mtb wheel if pumped up enough!

    is it worth replacing the rim tape, its about 30 years old doesn't appear to have degraded no rips e.t.c. I know its not expensive but if its not needed then that is best as money is very tight.
  • yes replacing the rim tape would be best, you can do this for as little as £1 a wheel with some velox rim cloth, as for 27" tubes keep an eye out for a website arriving soon called www.innertubesdirect.com they will have every tube known to man, including pushcair tubes! :P
