i currently ride a santa cuz chameleon, i have rode a hard tail for years, the last full sus was an early fsr, now that things have moved on i am contemplating another full sus. I have looked at all sorts of new bikes, but found none that felt quite right, until i sat on a blur. this is probably becaus the geometry felt familiar to my current ride, can anyone make any other suggestions.

i dont want people to think i am being flash, as its not as though i have money to burn, the trek fuels, giants etc just did not look or feel quite right. i am learning towards the blur lt, however i would not mind having a spin on a zesty, as i wont have money to change the bike i end up with for some time to come.0

im in a similar position tbh mate. mind says go for a zesty heart says wait for the evil sect :? i hate choices lol0

Don't think you're being flash at all! You want to spend your dosh on a full susser - go for it
I say Blur coz I've got one, but it's a BIG purchase, so you want to get it right - Go try out a Zesty to make sure. The last thing you want to do is spend all your cash on something that you're not 100% happy with.

I have a Blur and i love it. 575 looks a nice bike though.0

A zesty will feel longer and more stetched out than a blur - the ost lapierres have longish top tubes compared to the santa cruzes. But that does translate to very stable fast bikes - definately worth a go on one though.
Never ridden a 575 - thought about a Turner though?Lapierre Spicy 516 XTR custom (2013) -http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129323320 -
mine`s not quite a 575 but the last comment is true, its definately longer than others, but personally this gives me more confidence to go faster, it climbs extremely easily too, belter of a bikeIt`s changed a bit since...

not to sure about turner, waht would be similar in the travel stakes, i was also under the impression that turners are a bit on the heavy side, the build on the blur will come it at around 29lb0

Mrs B has 575. It's a great lightweight alldayer kind of bike. I've bounced around on a Zesty and test ridden a Blur (but not the LT) and of the 3 I'd probably choose the Yeti (but maybe because I am flash and proud of it )
what kind of riding do you do?
How burly a bike do you need?
how big are you?
top tube length will be the critical fit dimension, although in this class of bike (140-160mm FS) the head and seat angles vary a lot from quite racey to almost DH slacker. all ill be a little slack in the head to avoid too much dive when the fork compresses but there's a fair amount of variation within that though.
You need to try a few things to get the angles that suit you. If you prefer slacker bikes (according to SC, the chameleon is 68/72, which is on the slack side, but that'd depend on the fork aswell) then look to the numbers to get a guide of what would be best to test.
At that price range, if you want a pretty slack option, I'd also look at the Intense Tracer or maybe a deal on an old 5.5.Everything in moderation ... except beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day0 -
I was mulling over the same two bikes a few weeks ago. After hours of trawling forums and testing (car park) the bikes I decided on the 575.
Check out Crosstrax for pricing. I had quotes from most of the dealers and crosstrac were cheaper than them all (by some margin). Also good service too. I must at this stage also mention that Stif were also brilliant as were Wheelbase but in the end the price was very good from crosstrax.
Went for a 575 with -
Fox 36 talas
Xtr groupset
Thomson finishing kit
Chris King headset and BB
Etc
Etc
Can't wait I get it on Christmas day0 -
on the sc cham, i have a fox 32 talas, which works well, i am 6" and weigh 19.5 stone, i am aiming to get down to 16 stone over the winter as i have put on far to much weight, never going to a bean pole though. I think i have made my mind up by getting the blur with xt kit, thomson post and stem, monkey lite bar, hope hubs with stans flow rims, and hope m4 brakes, i think that should do it.0
