SS/Fixie Commuter

I fancy chopping in my Boardman Hybrid for a SS commuter bike, and I rather like the look of the following:
Mongoose Maurice
But I've also found one of these a SE Lager
The SE is only available in 52 & 54 cm, but the 'goose in all sizes so I'd prob go for a medium as that's 55cm. My new road bike is a 54cm Raleigh Airlite.
Now my commute is 8.5 miles each way through central London, so it's not exactly hilly. Hence the reason for a SS, as I'm just not using the gears on the Boardman and I don't see the point of having them/maintaining them when I don't use them.
I just like the look of both these bikes and the fact they're available off the peg without having to trawl classifieds to build one up.
Any opinions? Oh yeah I want flat not drop bars too

I use it all the time now, and did 77 miles over hills on Wednesday. Steel frames are a lovely ride0 -
