Group riding in the dark.

Other than riding with a couple of mates once a week or so, all of my riding in the last couple of years has been on my own. I’ve never done any form of group riding or been on a club run etc.
But tonight I’m taking part in my first group ride. I know I need to pedal faster and harder! (Two groups – slow (me) & fast (everyone else)) And I’ve just had a late pasta lunch to help fuel me up! But any tips for a so called training / chain gang group rides – in the dark at Mallory Park race circuit? I know there have been one or two threads ref. Group riding but this is in the dark, and on a closed circuit, and not your Sunday morning social affair! I’m starting to get a little nervous.
Kit wise am sorted.

Personally, I'd avoid a Chain Gang, until I felt comfortable riding in a group, especially in the dark.
When you arrive, tonight, be sure to mention your lack of experience to the others involved.
Chain Gangs are not gentle rides and do require riding at close quarters, the dark will only magnify the effects.
Why not see if you can jump on the back, and stay there, out of harms way, but able to observe the 'gang' going through the motions.
Might not be too bad, given that it's on a track...
    Enjoy yourself, mate.

I hope little Zedders is doing fine...

Eye she is thanks. So is mum. Everyone says she looks like me! :) But that she gergous?

A mate of mine, one I ride with thinks I'll be fine. He did it all through the winter a couple of years ago. He's coming so I plan on riding along side him.

Decent lights, esp on the front so that you can see whats coming up.
