Really nice mate, looks great. I had XT on 717 on my Yeti, great wheels, gonna look mint when finished, any ideas on brakes yet?0
-
Cheers fella!
Deffo going for xt brakes now, I got xt centrelock hubs as I've got them on the NS and they're brilliant!
Brakes are the last big thin to get really along with gearing, both coming from
merlin in about 3 weeks
Gonna buy a new chainring and chain guide soon so I can fiddle with the xt crankset and get it fitted. Also, want to get my stem and sort my forks out so I can have a rolling chassis! Hehe!
Tis coming together nicely now, deffo getting red crudcatcher bolts etc and red chainring bolts
superstar grips in red too!
I spent yesterday in work making lists of potential specs and finalised the ideas.... Shall post up later but I'm off to dork te wog hehe!0 -
Nice. Ever thought of spending some of your bike funds on skirting boards and carpet?0
-
i got red grips from superstar and the bolts in the locking collar may have well as been made of plastic, i showed em my allen keys and they just rounded themelves, strangely enough i got a ti-bolt upgrade for my thomson stem from em aswell - same thing fookin shit quality bolt
yes yes i too thought oooh maybe my allens were the prob but they brand spankin quality ones - long P handle jobs not a ball end in sight and the original thomson bolts were awesome
moral: ( in a real long way ) the grips were great, why so cheap - shit hardware!
sorry rant overFor the muddy - Boardman comp frame ( to match the roadie) running saint/ fox
For the blacktop - Boardman Pro Carbon

if the fork is at 150 at the moment, i would say it looks good (or as good as a p7 can).
id be careful about leaving that seat post clamp in the locked position unless it is on slack, you dont want to go bending the seat tube.0 -
Very nice Ben, gives me a slight insight into what mine may look like too.
May be a harsh ride tho until you get some rubber on there
What tyres are you going for?Orange 2010 P7 - Custom Build - My New Bikey Poos

if i hadnt found specialized tyres to suit me so well, those ignitors would be right up on my list too, properly good tyres and the lust version is partiularly good.0 -
