Thanks
Had hoped to ride it home but not in this weather0 -
Funny my new madone has just arrived and I thought I was bad trying to figure out if it would fit in my Passat as the weather is so crap, too crap for the bike rack... but a mini... ;-)0

Went in no problem in the end
Yep, mine's waterproof too but I'd rather get it wet and dirty on a proper ride first It was dangerously windy though and I also only had about 45 minutes to get home and pick my kid up from school (nearly 20 miles from the shop) so riding it wasn't an option - if it had been you wouldn't have stopped me. Might sneak a quick session in tomorrow lunchtime after I've taken a few pics0 -

Here you go. Still waiting for decent riding weather, put bottle cages on yesterday and just about to go out when it really started to rain. Today the wind has been too strong. Not worried about getting my bike dirty but want to enjoy my first ride on it rather than just trying to get back home!0 -
strong wind is an understatement! i nearly lost it this morning so many times lol
lovelly looking ride thatCrafted in Italy apparantly0 -
Nice bike Pross
Have you managed to get out on it yet?
Wind and rain has been un-beliveable recently - had a lucky break tonight and managed to get out on the Maindy Track with Ajax and Jif, was great0 -
Cheers Dru
Nope, still stuck in stores - too wet to finish sorting out my winter bike too as no garage and no space in shed Weekend not looking much better either.
Was that road bike training at Maindy? Used to do that a good few years back, wouldn't fancy that concrete in this weather though :shock:0 -

Yes, road bikes only.
I've only been doing it for 4/5 weeks - not had or seen any problems with the banking/concrete over that time, and most often its either a wet track or its been raining to some degree.
Pretty good numbers as well. Last night was the quietest of those last 5 weeks and there was still over 40/50 people on the track (in 3 groups)0 -

...maybe a little less fibre in your diet?Cycling weakly0 -
this must be why helmets are so common. i was riding as well in the wind yesterday but remained in full control of the bike.0

I went out on Tues night cos it was mild and dry. (never go out at all if I waited for mild, dry and calm at this time of year) Did a loop heading out into the wind so came back at warp factor 5. Up the hills and directly into the wind was pretty good interval training, but when the wind was at a slight angle it kept trying to whip the front wheel out from under me. Most exhilarating.0

Dru if you ride at Maindy, is there a bike shop nearby, just down from the entrance to the Barracks. Used to get bits and pieces from there - mainly cotter pins. Used to live down Maes-y-coed Rd years and years ago.0

There's Cyclopaedia on Crwys Road, I guess that's the one you mean. It's on the opposite side to the barracks and a couple of hundred metres further down the hill. Only been in there once but they do a great range of bikes.0
