Planning a charity cycle for may/june next year route is below
http://www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=26268
I was planning to do this over 6 days
day 1=80 mile,2=35 mile,3=56 mile,4=30mile,5=40mile and the last day just under 60 mile
there will be 2 perhaps 3 of us doing this with a back up van
what do you think re;6 days in a row or should I take rest days and have longer rides the days I will be cycling
We will be using road bikes with no gear to carry(all gear in van)
any help and advice most welcome

This will be no bother .If you start prep now you will do it in 3 days easy N17 is a rotten road to cycle
But if You want to take 2 days Sligo to Galway then get off the N17 asap and go xcountry aiming for Ballinrobe/Cong/Clonburarea and then round the Corrib through Maam , Maamcross,Inverin Spiddal to Galway.
Out of Galway head for Kinvara and across the Burren again getting off the N18 asap
Pm me if you want any help with route even with the distances you have chosen for days 2/3 but on quiet roads just off the N17Go neiri on bothar leat.0 -
Just a thought, but couldn't you extend it just a little bit and do the Mizen to Malin ride instead?0

malin to mozen seems to be what everybody is doing
so I am going from the south pole bar in anascaul to the north pole bar just outside Buncrana
I can then say I cycled pole to pole0 -

I'd never make it out of Donegal, love it up around Ballyhoorisky / Fanad Head.0
