New Polar model - what is it?

Mr Ands has mentioned a new Polar (bike mounted not with wrist strap) with a huge display coming out soon. I think it may have been in one of this month's cycling mags (prob Pro Cycling, which he's now taken to London for a few days so I can't check it out).
Anyone any idea what I'm on about and when it will be available? Need to get him a Christmas present! His current Polar is 9 years old this Xmas and needs updating.
Other reccomendations welcome - haven't looked into Garmin or anything yet. The one he has is a 525x (?) and he downloads all the data and analyses it all so looking for something that does all that. Bike mounted will suffice - not one with a wrist strap.
