Shimano Brake Blocks and Mavic Rims

Hi

I am looking for some advice on Shimano Ultegra Brake blocks and wear on Rims.

I have a set of Mavic CXP33 Rims and Ultegra Brakes. I am concerned that the brake blocks might be wearing the rims out too fast.

What are peoples experiences of Shimano Brake Blocks but also Mavic CXP33 Rims.

The Compound of these pads can be quite abrasive, although they have improved over recent years. Coolstop Salmon can be a better option for wet braking/prolonging rim life.
