    Don't forget your lights!

I'm in for anything, my social dairy is as thin as other Greg's strangely feminine wrists.
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?

I like the way you've done the quote boxes there. It's like watching a maestro at work.

It's not attractive having muscled wrists. It makes people ask questions about you. Bad questions.

Do you get your wife to open jars of pickles for you?

  • I've gone for 3rd at present but would be fine with another venue or just gate-crashing the Morpeth on 11th.

It was nice last year having the upstairs room as it allowed those coming from further afield to not worry about bringing a lock and meant we didn't have to mingle with the non-cyclist folk downstairs......

Shall I setup an event on The Game FB group so we can start getting a mini-guest list together? Assuming all attendess have Facebook accounts that is........

    EDIT: FB Event created here
Invites have been sent out to all 620 :!: members of THE GAME group, can't believe we're up so high, seems the whole SCR thing is really taking off

Can't you overlook this? Besides just wait until a wind picks up and CP has his big 7ft frame offering up all the resistance, it's us "compact" people who have the advantage then* :-)

*I have been told by other SCRers that I make a hopeless windbreak so don't bother trying to draft me.......

I'm off the bike friday as I'm getting the train to the west country. I finish at 6 and my train isn't till 7.30 so I've got a little leeway

  • OK, as the majority are in favour of the 11th, I've spoken to lovely Lisa at the Morpeth, and she's reserved tables downstairs inside for us by the bar on the 11th.

Now, this has implications as far as food goes. We can't do the curry again, I'm afraid, as they have no space to serve it there.

    So, we can either

    a) Eat something else - she's sending me the menu

    or

    b) reserve a table at Millbank Spice and take our chances as far as any further drinking.

The problem with b) is that we need a pretty accurate handle on numbers.
  • Awesome beans! Nice one LiT - if memory and nose serves the food in Morpeth looks and smells good. Curry would be good of course and I would hope I didn't fall asleep again but hey ho :D

Nice one LiT, sorry for my lameness with the Cask, been busy of late trying to exchange on my flat purchase etc. I'm happy with either food option, but may well stagger into the curry house or the frankly wonderful Cyprus Mangal

It might look like a dirty kebab house but it's fantastic. I eat there quite a lot with the missus (who is half Turkish) even when stone cold sober and the food is v good - they have the old doner, but if you avaoid that and go for the grilled stuff it's all good. Problem is they have a big charcoal grill that vents outside and I can smell it on my walk home... usually results in a diversion. It's always full of coppers and cabbies on the evening which is good sign as far as I'm concerned, both parties know a good kebab.

It's number 1 on my list of "Things I'll miss about Pimlico!"

If I want more than one drink I need food

.......... but I fully admit to being a lightweight when it comes to drinking
