How to change gear cable on x5 shifter?

sounds simple...

but how the hell do you get the cable out of the shifter?

theres an allan sxrew that turns and turns but does nothing then theres 4 tiny allen bolts?

also do i need a specific cable to replace it with?

see the big plug with an X on it. near your fingers when holding the grips. undo it and push the inner out with a twist.
