Think it's 31.8 but based on that you could probably eliminate that size as i'm normally wrong

Yeh you are probably right that it's a 31.8/32mm seatclamp.
Seatpost is 27.2mm isn't it? So a 32mm clamp would make sense.0 -

Cool, ill order that size adaptor then.
Question about winter damage to components, as im going to pop the new stuff on the bike now, which bits will suffer the most out of the whole groupset? (I know ill replace all the cables in the summer)0 -
Chain and cassette, but the damage isn't nearly as catastophic as some people would have you believe IMO and IME 8)winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Yea, i thought that, as my XT groupset I had on my mountainbike always lasted, 2 summers and winters no problems at all, minus the chain and cassette0

Before i updated the groupset on my 'Dale it did god knows how many miles, was second hand when i got it and i didn't exaxtly look after it, i noticed the problems when i put a new chain on, the parts had become as one so any new part was rejected like a pig's liver from a human bodywinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg
