Evans Pricematch

Just in case anyone wasn't aware of this, Evans will pricematch any website (in stock and including delivery) in their stores. I don't usually buy stuff there but I needed a pair of Crud Road Racers and didn't fancy waiting a week or longer for them to arrive during the postal strike, so I took in a printout of the cheapest online retailer I could find and got them for £20.95 (versus the £27.99 they were asking).

    Pete,I agree this is a good deal and I have got them to pricematch several times without a problem.
    Can I suggest though that you actually don't need to visit one of their stores/print anything off at all.
    Just phone their national phoneline and tell them where you've seen the cheaper price and they will match it there and then or ring you back few minutes later. the stuff usually arrives next day as well. and the best part is if you don't like what you've bought you can take it back to your local store.

    Yes, but I wouldn't bother doing this with Evans' mail order service as you could just order it from the cheapest online source and save the hassle of a call to Evans.

    As far as I know, they are the only high street bike store which will match online prices. Very useful when stuff is taking a week or more to arrive by post.
