Hi,

I know this is really a cross forum but it's close enough and i'm sure there are some cross bikers out there. ANyway I recently bought some RS10's Shimano wheels for my commuter. Would these be suitable for cross racing?

Cheers
Jim

I'm currently using the Mavic Ksyriums from my road bike on the crosser. The rear wheel has gone slightly out of true in the 2 races I've done, but that should be easily remedied. I think most road wheels will be up to the task, tbh. The more serious guys use deep section rims for stiffness, but most people I've seen are just using regular clinchers.

The only way to find out is to give them a go. If they fold then the answer is no. I've used the same pair of Aksiums for 3 seasons with no problems and they're similar spec wheels so hopefully they'll be fine.
I'm only concerned with looking concerned
