Shimano "olives" in Juicy 5s

I want to shorten the hoses on some Juicy 5s. I have new hosebarbs to use (and a bleed kit for afterwards) but I'm struggling to find Avid compression fittings (olives) in lots of less than 10. I do however have Shimano olives. The picutres I've looked at for the Avid ones make them look very similar if not identical. So will they work?

    as long as they are not the split type they should be ok.
