Hey, just after some advise.............
Ive recently found my cycling legs again after 5 years out ( due to extensive work loads ), my fitness is stil at a reasonable level ( as im in the military, carrying the usual beer package tho!!!!! ).
I used to ride a lot of dual slalom races and trained by the usual XC rides round the lady bower area and wharncliffe areas of Sheffield, Ive found myself dusting my chameleon off and riding that at the mo ( pace RC 40 XCAM XT raceface evolve DH crankset mix, hope mono minis with 200 rotor at the front and a 160 at the rear, hope bulb hubs on mavic 729's and a hope headset and external BB ) I have owned a heckler previously and enjoyed the ride but being a larger lad ( 6ft 3 ish and 15.5 stone ) always wished I had bought a slightly burlier frame.
Im looking at doing alot of XC and trail centre riding and feel I want another full susser any ideas??

first of all welcome back to the scene, that chameleon sounds like a really nice build! any pics?
Anyway, the newer chameleon frame is very burly and can handle XC use and trail centre riding, failing that have a look at the GT i drive XCR or giant trance x5. What's your budget?0 -
Got a budget of no more than 4k (were DINKies!!!) will post some pics later of the chameleon!!!0

At £4k, you pretty much pays your money and takes your choice.
Sounds yo me like you're looking for an All Mountain type bike.
You should have a look at this thread which was started last week. Some of the stuff there might be a bit TOO hardcore for your riding, but most of it should be ok I reckon0 -
As requsted the latest pics of my treader!!!!!!

Had a look at the thread cheers, ive had a few test rides over the weekend and ive got a short list now!!!!!
1. Stay with what I know a 2009 Heckler £3000 build
2. Stay with the brand I know a 2009 Nomad £3500 build
3. Go for a similar bike Turner 2010 5 spot (rode at weekend was a sweet ride the DW link makes a difference!!) £4000
4. Go off the shelf for a speccy Enduro Pro £3500
Still unsure tho any reviews on the above from owners much appreciated!!0
