Shimano Deore M530 shifter removal?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way of removing Shimano Deore M530 shifters from a handlebar without removing the grips.
I have just bought a Focus Fat Boy and want to put my old Brahma bars on it. For those who don’t know them here is a link:

I think removing the grips from my Fat Boy bars won’t be a problem, but the Brahma grips are about 12” each!
If I there is no way of getting the shifters over the grips, does anyone have any ideas as to how I may remove the Brahma grips without destroying them?
Any thoughts would be gratefully accepted!
