Hope X2 braided hose adjustment

Hi All
If i want to shorten the braided hose on my new disc brake. Can i do it without a new nut and olive on the X2 or will i need to get an olive and insert first??

I reused my olive and the insert. I see no real reason to change them.

^ +1, they are re-usable, but make sure you get a perfect angle on the cut or you may have a small leak.

It was all going so well and then Being a T*at I was struggling to get the olive on so I thought I'll open it a little slipped and snapped it clean in half!!!!

I have ordered a new one just hope i get it 2mrw or it'll be No good for Sunday ;-(

Is the braided stuff 5mm or 6???? I have ordered both just in case!
