Already checked it, and yes there are some unhappy customers, but which business can please everyone, all of the time?
The Epic Cycles Ebay shop would beg to differ, 100% positive feedback.0 -
I have a Dave Hinde bike and it's great, definitely bikes for racers with a super stiff frame. I've never had any trouble with DH, always dead informative and in some cases actually advised me against spending more as it was either not neccessary for me at the time or that prices were due to drop in a couple of months.
There is bad press, although if you see some of the posts they are a few years old now. All I would say is go and visit personally if you are really worried which I would recommend if buying a bike as they will measure you up properly.
Anyone who has met Dave Hinde will know he is worse than Victor Meldrew in real life, every time I go in he takes the piss or opens with "what the f**k you want". But at the end of the day, that is his qwerky charm, he has a huge amount of knowledge, sells at competitive pricing, it's just typical Dave. Look at Ryanair, tons of bad press and complaints but still 65 million passengers.
I wouldn't worry about it, take a visit and chat through your budget and what options are available to you.// My blog : http://thoughtsfromthebike.blogspot.com0 -
Aren't most of the complaints about Ryan Air from idiots expecting it to be like British Airways? Ryan Air are utter shite, but I have not had reason to complain about them because I already knew that anything extra with them costs a fortune.
I have yet to arrive at the airport to fly with Ryan Air to be told "Sorry f*** wit', we haven't got a seat in stock, now f'off and cry to anyone who will listen because they can do nothing about it".
People ordering from DH actually assume that the guy has what he is selling, which unfortunately wasn't the case when I ordered from him. I resolved it via my credit card, it was the only way.0 -
I think most of us understand that sometimes there can be a problem with something we've ordered, a late delivery, mix up over an order etc. But we expect the company to be helpful in resolving the issue. For example, a friend ordered a turbo trainer from CRC. When it arrived one of the lugs was bent. She contacted CRC who arranged to collect it, delivered a new one and gave her a 10% discount. The reports and reviews about DH indicate that when his customers have problems with an order they are laughed at, given no refunds and are told to contact trading standards if they're not happy.
Can you see the difference?0
