Wham Bars
Cola Bars
Highland Toffee Bars
Penny sweets that actually DID cost a penny each0 -
Chewing nuts. They were little balls of the stickiest toffee ever made coated in fake chocolate. They cost 2d (thats 2 old pre decimal pence to you younguns) for a quarter pound bag. They would keep you happily chewing for hours and they would rip out any loose fillings or milk teeth. I am sure they were made by the same company who made the silver stuff for filling teeth, if not they kept them in business.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Lucky Tatties. They looked like a lump of dried mud (tasted much the same) & came with a small plastic toy buried in the middle. Now there's one for the HSE......0

I still miss the days when Snickers were Marathons and Starburst were Opal Fruits..
I swear they tasted better back then... and, give me back my king size mars bar, sod this 'duo' crap!0 -
Super Moose bars. Like Milky Way only better. The question of size is interesting; it is often said that sweets were bigger (wagon wheels etc) but were we just smaller? UK chocolate bars Mars Twix have been increased in size to fit in with the US bigger is better mantra, "10% more!!" Like it's a good thing. A little of what you like.........Neil
