Bar ends

I like the idea of being able to change the position of my hands during riding so I'm thinking about fitting some bar ends.
What should I look out for when buying a pair? Are they easy to fit?
Are there any bar-end bargains in the sales at the mo?

Yes, they just bolt on the ends of your bars. Some carbon bars cannot take them though.
They come in a few shapes - personal preference really.0 -

Just move your controls over (inward) and slide your grips in a bit to make space. Don't cut down the grips (as some poeple do). You really don't need them to be very long, so I'd go with stubbies rather than cow horns

And don't put them on riser bars or you'll make the baby jesus cry.0

Like this?
I had to put risers on my HT to lift my riding position a little with it only having 80 mm forks. The bike is pretty fast on trails and I found I was positioning my hands in the bar end position on climbs so I bought someNiner Air 9 Rigid
