DIsk brakes + rotors upgrade

Quick question, not really a serious decision just yet but say I wanted to upgrade the brakes on my bike from Juicy 3s to say Formula Oro K18, I assume the Avid rotors would be incompatible with the Formula Oros?

On the same train of thought, if I wanted to upgrade the Juicy 3's to say Avid Elixirs then would the rotors be compatible? If not are there any 3rd party companies that manufacture reputable rotors that would be compatible with varying brake manufacturers?

Thank you.

the avid rotors are fine with the formulas.

Most rotors are compatible, assuming they're the same size, be wary of 180mm and 183mm rotors. Hope floating rotors can catch on several makes of rotor pads.

Elixirs will fit on juicy 3 rotors. But most disc brake kits come with all the hardware, rotors and adaptors.

My choice would be elixir 5 from merlin, cheap and amazing.

They can also catch, or even bind on forks, using certain manufacturer's hubs.
