hydraulic brakes

hi there, looking at ordering some juicy 5 brakes. but what is the difference between a post mount and a IS mount?

there rear comes as IS mount, but the front comes as either at post or IS mount.

what does this mean?

    In case you don't know Avid do loads of different adaptors for the calipers so you can swap between post and IS mount as I had to recently when I changed my forks. Cost around 7 quid each - try chainreactioncycles
