Hi, which rear axle do I need to replace the one out of my dad's Merida Kalahari 8? According to the internet they are 'Joytech alloy quick release hubs'. I would upload some pics of the snapped axle but I don't know how to..

Thanks.

A generic Shimano one may fit, but contact Merida or the importer/shop.

Don't see this too often nowadays - check the dropouts aren't bent.

go to the shop that sold the bike.

if the hub is sealed bearings then they will have to order one in.

if a cone and cup a standard threaded axle should work.

It was an ex-hire one so I do not know the shop. I've emailed CRC but if they can't help then hopefully you lot can :) Don't think dropouts are bent foretunatly. :)
