Hi guys,

I'm going to try and get into 'Cross racing this winter in the Scottish Cross series. I've got two bike si could do it on, my Giant OCR4 road bike and my Carrera Vulcan MTB. So while on the MTB forums i thought i'd ask if anybody out there had any suggestions for converting my MTB to cross.
Here's the bike that i got last year http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... n-07-27707

Also as a side i was thinking about getting new forks for this bike, ones that i can lock out. Can anybody recommend me some forks sub £250 forks?

Cheers
Jim

Not really worth spending money to convert
I picked up a 2nd hand CX bike(steel frame) with carbon forks for £200 you just need to get to some races and ask around
If you want to spend money on the Vulcan(it won't be eligible in National events)
you could buy some rigid carbon forks(exotic are about the cheapest) and get some narrow tyres
