Padded short pad slip

Hi All,

Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me and/or the particular shorts I have?

I wear Endura Humvee baggies with separate click fast liner and have found the pad rides/bunches up at the front and ends up leaving my "cheeks" resting on the saddle without a pad to comfort them.

I've tried them not clicked in to the shorts but the same thing happens.

Seems to be provoked when I'm out of the saddle giving it some.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Cheers,

Pat...

Are they a good, snug fit?

Shorts are, but the pad is a big "saggy" - do they take some wearing in?

what bike are you riding? do you have a very flat or upright position?
Some shorts that are designed for mountainbiking (especially freeride) are designed with the chamois differently placed to road shorts, the Humvee is a freeride short isn't it?

I've found shorts with a seperate liner to have this problem a fair bit so I've worn lycra off road despite the fashion faux pas!

The lycra inner short is supposed to fit very closely, that way the pad is held in situ.
You don't see roadies wearing baggy lycra shorts....

  • I use the same Humvees & have no problem with the liner clicked in or out on road or off

I use Humvees on my MTB. The liners are close fitting and don't move. I could not use them on the road bike though. Far too much bulk round the middle,
  • This used to happen with a pair of DHB shorts I have. I'd have to readjust every five miles or so. :(

Since then I have found that Gore stuff fits me perfectly. 8) I'm guessing it's just the shorts.
