Hi
I am thinking about getting a new bike, I currently have a hardtail but want a fs that I could also use in the alps as I am considering the megavalanche next year
I also want to get use out of it in the peaks too
I have been considering something like a SC heckler or nomad
any suggestions?

Have a look at the Chumba VF2. Some thing a bit different and seems to be a flexible frame.

I posted a similar topic a month or so ago as I was looking for a bike to do the Mega on next year.
Most of the above bikes came up but I ended up going for a Santa Cruz Nomad, I love it!

that nomad looks well tasty!
guess I had better get saving then0 -
My Patriot will do the Mega just fine, all built for a budget of around a grand, but if it were a new bike I'd be buying then I'd save the pennies for one of these little beauties.

have you seen the new 150 attack avalanch frame mate. i still like the one in the pic tho defo will look for a secon hand one this next year coming.0 -
Well my only bike is a Pitch Pro which I used for the Mega - was pretty much perfect though the 160mm forks I have on it now might have helped with the horrendous arm pump.0

I have seen the new attack trail 150, and I like them. I miss the quirky "radiator" gussetting like on mine though.
But, my wolf ridge, with the fox36s, is now basically a 2009 attack trail. I loves it0
