Can anyone tell me the difference between these 2 bikes?

Hi I am a newby so I hope I am posting in the right area. I have been commuting on a 15 yr old bottom of the range Falcon mountain bike when that finally gave out on me I aquired an Apollo!! arg. rode it twice and have since been walking. I have found these bikes which are in my price range but other than the rack and mud guards on one I am unable to tell the difference. Can anyone tell me which of the two is the better. Thankyou
