What are my options for lefty and other frames?

I might be picking up a lefty with front wheel for nowt (needs a strip and service and some little bits possibly), but obviously I don't have a frame. Obviously I need a 100mm frame, ideally with a 1.5" headtube? Anything come to mind? I can't think of anything...

Would it be possible to make up a 1.125" steerer for a lefty with some new collars to go round the forks, or am I asking for a world of pain?

I *think* I recall that Cannondale announced an adapter for 1 1/8" so you can retrofit a lefty to any frame. Unlikely to be chap mind you.

1 1/2 " steerer HT frames will be heavy hitters. What's the chameleon got?

I see no reason whatsoever why someone with a bit of nouse and the correct tools couldn't shim in a 1 1/8" steerer to a normal lefty setup. as it's 2nd hand Cannondale won't be interested in you if you break it and smash your teeth in anyway so as long as you're confident in your engineering abilities, I'd think about making some shims and getting a 1 1/8" steerer

Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

how does the headset work on a lefty?

does it have a crown race somewhere? or do i need something to sit that on?
