What knee / elbow pads and body armour?

Hi guys, looking for some advice on what knee pads and elbow pads folk would recommend?
I will be using it for trail centres (Glentress & other 7 stanes) mainly, and looking to pad up as want to move from red to black routes.
Really want pads that I'm going to notice as little as possible, so ones that don't make you too sweaty etc
Would also appreciate views as to whether body armour is also beneficial for that type of riding and any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

Knees = 661 Kyle Straits. Elbows... Still not totally happy with my own, Chicken Wings aren't that good and my new POC Bones are a bit OTT I reckon.
Pads are always useful when you fall off Mate of mine wears an awful lot of armour, like a medieval knight, we take the piss but he just had himself a pretty rapid dismount at glentress tonight, the sort you don't always expect to just get back up from... He didn't just get back up, he kept riding.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Thanks NW, K yle Straits seem to be a good shout then for the knees!
Does your mate wear any body armour?0 -
Loads... 661 Pressure Suit I think. He likes it, I'm not sure how useful it really is, but then again I guess if I wore one I wouldn't have broken my ribs last month. Maybe I would, who knows. But I don't personally think it's worthwhile, it's a lot of extra kit and I run hot enough in a cycling top never mind a plastic armour suit. YMMV- people say the same about kneepads while I think they're fine, and I know Andy doesn't consider it too much hassle or heat.Uncompromising extremist0
