Dont know about any bike but should fit most. On the other hand, if race blades dont fit then maybe not.

    Crud Road Racer.

    I have a pair.

    Simply Awesome compared to raceblades.

On that note, anyone want to buy a pair of Race Blades?

Raceblades wouldn't fit my Litespeed. The rear I could just about manage but the front? No chance...

    Beautifully.

Was out last night in torrential rain. They are ace! Full coverage too unlike Raceblades...

They have since been adjusted and are now even closer but here is a pic from when I first put them on...

Here is the front now adjusted -

No rubbing at all. Silent operation. Fab stuff!

Would they be expected to fit most road bikes then or does the Lightspeed have bigger than normal brake clearance? What are they like to fit/adjust properly?

Most bikes, my Litespeed has very little clearance (about 5mm tops with the 24mm tyres on) and I didn't think they'd fit at first.

They were a hell of a lot easier to fit than raceblades.

Got mine here. post free. Fit straight on to my Trek 5200 in about 15 min. I would expect about 5min now I know where to put the stays. No rub at all. Not tried them in the wet yet, they have even kept that away during rides.

I found the rear rubbed a bit on my bianchi, but when I took it out for a spin there was no noise at all. Think maybe you get an air wedge set up between the tyre and guard.

So dont worry if there is a bit of rub when spun by hand, once up to speed they are fine.

The tightness of the cable tie can also cause the guard to flex, I found loose was better than tight

I could not get them to fit my Ribble sportive  , they rubbed everywhere and were jammed between the brake and the tyre.
  • Superb service too!

Lost the tail from the front guard on the 2nd trip. Contacted Mr Crud on here, new part arrived today, the day after contacting Mr Crud!

Service, and product are top notch, cannot recommend enough!

They are such close clearance they clog a bit with all the autumn muck and leaves, but then thats an extreme as I was on the Bristol-Bath railway path at the time which is covered in leaves and muc at this time of year.

    Otherwise flawless operation.

Yep, they do work well. lost a screw and 2 nuts from the front on my first ride, but am getting replacements sent for the cost of a stamp. Can't argue with service like that

maybe someone could post a pic of their bike with these mudguards fitted and after it has been on a wet, winter club run - I would be interested to see it....

I have to say - to me, they don't look like they would be any use whatsoever - but I'm happy to be proved wrong...[/b]

I don't think anyone would suggest that they are as good as a set of full guards but on a bike where this is not an option they are much better than nothing. They provide better cover than raceblades and for me the big advantage is you can hardly see them.

I was out in torrential rain for a couple of hrs on Tuesday, I didn't notice any difference whatsoever between these and my full guards from my last winter bike. No stripes up the back, bike is clean!

The only difference is the length of the rear guard, not long enough to prevent spraying those behind you...
